Lite klassikt mys såhär på lördagskvällen. Vad folk kanske inte vet är att jag när jag i min tidiga tonår lyssnade nästan uteslutande väldigt mycket på klassisk musik. Det är något jag plockar fram när jag behöver ro och allt annat går mig på nerverna. En av mina finaste musikupplevelser rörande live-musik är när jag och Annie gick och såg Mozarts Requiem framföras i Visby Domkyrka när vi var 12 eller 13 år gamla. Underbart. Och när jag letade efter dagens länk så hittade jag även denna inspelning, framförd live i en kyrka, och här sitter jag och är helt mesig och tårögd för det är ju så satans fint ♥ (hela texten finns för övrigt att finna på denna länk, ifall någon vill hänga med lite mer)

Okej, apropå gårdagens post i den här bloggutmaningen – får ni tag i en kör så strunta i allt annat och spela DENNA på min begravning. Mer än så kan inte en människa begära.

I Ardre socken på sydöstra Gotland stod en gång en mäktig bildsten, huggen kring år 750. Idag står den på Historiska museet i Stockholm och visar sagan om mästersmeden Volund. I isländska Eddan berättas hur Volund lever gott till den dag hans kvinna lämnar honom. I väntan på sin älskade smider Volund gyllene ringar och världens mäktigaste svärd, det svärd som vid världens undergång, Ragnarök, ska skicka eld över världen.

Kung Nidads ögon faller på Volunds skatter. Han stjäl dem, fängslar smeden och skär av hans knäsenor. Men Volund tar en gruvlig hämnd. Så smider han sig örnvingar och stiger till väders. Han söker och finner sin kvinna, men gudarna åtrår henne. Striden om henne blir hans sista och den slutar när självaste guden Tor dräper Volund och slungar hans öga upp på nattens himmel. Där blickar han ner på oss som en evigt lysande stjärna.

En låt som spelades på min systers begravning. I enlighet med hennes egen önskan, för den delen. Och det låter så mycket värre än det är, som att det var planerat på något sätt, hennes bortgång. Men hon hade nämnt för länge sedan att hon älskade den här låten och att den var vad hon ville skulle spelas på hennes begravning, och jag såg till att hennes önskemål framfördes och hedrades. Och jag älskar låten jag med men jag kan inte lyssna på den längre, inte utan att drunkna och få panik.

…och här är låten jag själv vill ha på min begravning. Fast man skall väl inte säga sådant, antar jag.
